Professional Steering & Suspension — What We Fix

A healthy steering and suspension system keeps your ride smooth and your vehicle safe. If you're experiencing a bumpy ride, difficulty steering, unusual tire wear, or clunking noises over bumps, it's time for an inspection. We service shocks, struts, control arms, tie rods, ball joints, sway bar links, power steering pumps, and more.

  • Road test evaluation before and after service

💡 Why Steering & Suspension Matters

Worn suspension components don't just make your ride uncomfortable — they make your vehicle dangerous. Degraded shocks and struts can increase your stopping distance by up to 20%, and worn tie rods or ball joints can cause unpredictable handling during emergency maneuvers like swerving to avoid an obstacle. A vehicle that bounces, floats, or pulls is a vehicle that won't respond the way you expect when you need it most. Getting suspension issues addressed promptly keeps you, your passengers, and other drivers safe.

Why Choose Chloe's for Steering & Suspension?

  • Full road test before and after every repair to verify results
  • OE-quality replacement parts for reliable, long-lasting repairs
  • 4-wheel alignment check included with major suspension work
  • Honest assessment of what can wait versus what's safety-critical

Frequently Asked Questions

Signs include excessive bouncing after hitting a bump, nose-diving when braking, the vehicle leaning or swaying in turns, and uneven tire wear. Most shocks and struts should be inspected around 50,000 miles.
A worn tie rod can cause loose or wandering steering, uneven tire wear (especially on the front tires), and clunking or rattling noises when turning.
Technically the vehicle will still move, but it's not safe. Worn shocks reduce your ability to control the vehicle, especially during emergency stops or sudden lane changes. They increase stopping distance, cause excessive body roll in turns, and accelerate wear on tires and other suspension parts. If your shocks are visibly leaking or your vehicle bounces excessively, have them inspected as soon as possible.
We strongly recommend replacing shocks and struts in pairs — both fronts or both rears. Replacing only one side creates an imbalance in ride height and handling characteristics, which can make the vehicle pull or handle unpredictably. Replacing in pairs ensures even performance and consistent handling.
